Cheapest Happy Hours in Denver — Best Deals Under $6

Denver is expensive. That's just where we are now — rents went up, cocktail prices followed, and somewhere along the way a well drink at a regular bar started running $10. The city's bar scene is good enough to justify it most of the time, but not every night is a celebration.

Here are the places where you can drink well without thinking about it.

The Gold Standard: Flat-Rate Happy Hours

The best cheap happy hours in Denver are the ones that don't make you read the fine print.

The Front Porch — LoDo

1215 15th St

Any standard drink: $5. That's the whole menu. No "select cocktails," no "well drinks only," no asterisks. You call it, it's $5. This is the best value happy hour deal in LoDo and possibly the entire city for its simplicity alone.

Lincolns Denver — LoDo

Wynkoop St

$5 for everything. Beer, wine, spirits, mixers — all of it. They also run $5 Chili Mac during happy hour, and $2 pizza slices on Tuesdays. Lincolns is doing the most democratic drinking deal in Denver: nobody in your group needs to think about what they're ordering. Get whatever you want. It's five bucks.

Best 2-for-1 Deals

Charlie Brown's Bar & Grill — Capitol Hill

980 Grant St

First-round 2-for-1 on calls, wells, house wine, and domestics. The $3 beef sliders and $3 gyro sliders back it up on the food side. Charlie Brown's has been running this deal for longer than most of the bars on this list have existed. It's the dive bar institution of Capitol Hill for a reason.

Under $6 Cocktails

Revival Denver Public House — Uptown

630 E 17th Ave

The Shot and Beer — Coors Light Draft plus Benchmark Whiskey or Corazon Tequila — at $6. Also: Old Fashioned at $5 (yes, really) and wine by the glass at $7. Revival's happy hour is the argument that Uptown has better deals than LoDo.

Fort Greene — Five Points

321 E 45th Ave

Martinis at $5. Drafts and wines $2 off. Select cocktails at $9. The martini deal alone puts Fort Greene on this list.

Best Beer Deals

Denver Beer Co. Platte Street — Highlands

1695 Platte St

All pints and seltzers at $5 during happy hour. Simple, consistent, a quality brewery with straightforward happy hour pricing.

Prost Brewing Company — Highlands

2540 19th St

Half-liter Biergarten Lager at $5, $1 off everything else. The Lager deal is the play — a German-style half-liter poured well for $5 at a proper biergarten is hard to beat.

The Wild — LoDo

1660 Wynkoop St

$6 beers during happy hour. Right on the Wynkoop strip, easy to fit into a LoDo crawl.

Pony Up — LoDo

1808 Blake St

$5 draft beer. They also run $7 house wine and $9 cocktails, with Bavarian soft pretzels at $6 and chips & queso at $5.50. One of the more complete cheap happy hours in LoDo.

Best Wine Deals

Postino Broadway — South Broadway

145 Broadway

$6 glasses of wine, $6 pitchers of beer. Postino is the easiest yes in Denver for cheap wine — the selection is actually good, the price point is remarkable, and the formula is proven.

La Bouche — Uptown

1100 E 17th Ave

Tap wines at 25% off, house selections at $7.50. French wine bar, reasonable prices. Worth knowing.

Sienna Wine Bar & Small Plates — Capitol Hill

3434 E 12th Ave

Glasses of wine at $7+ during happy hour, with discounted small plates. A quieter, more relaxed option in Capitol Hill.

Best Food Deals at Happy Hour

Sometimes cheap drinks isn't the goal — cheap food is.

Black Sky Brewery — Baker

490 Santa Fe Dr

$2.50 for a thin pizza slice, a taco, chips & salsa, or a mini grilled cheese. $3.50 for a meatball slider or BBQ pork slider. This is some of the cheapest happy hour food in Denver, full stop.

Corinne Denver — Downtown

1455 California St

$3 Baked Oysters, $3 Crab Croquettes, $3 BLT Deviled Eggs. Three dollars for oysters. These are not budget items at full price — the happy hour discount here is genuinely significant.

Lincolns Denver — LoDo

Wynkoop St

$5 Chili Mac alongside the $5 drinks makes Lincolns the best total value happy hour in LoDo when you want food and drinks both.

The Strategy

The cheapest happy hour evenings in Denver happen in the neighborhoods that aren't LoDo. Capitol Hill and Uptown consistently undercut downtown pricing. Baker and Five Points have deals that LoDo can't match.

But if you're staying downtown: The Front Porch and Lincolns Denver are the budget anchors. Start at one, move to the other, and you've had an excellent $15 happy hour.
